|MicroWorlds Version 2.0 for Windows 95|
This new version of Logo has a lot of new features that are great. It's sort of the same as the older
version, but in some ways not at all like it. Making sounds is so much easier, they have neater stamps
(a few from My Make Believe Treasure Isle), and more buttons. And when you make your own stamp,
you can make it bigger then the space you have already, and you can flip it or turn it so the front is
pointing down, right , left or up.
The thingamabobbers like File or Edit are, well, easier to use because you don't have to hold down the mouse button. That's sort of annoying (in the older version). And as for the language, as far as I know, it's the same so you don't have to learn a new computer language (great!). And, of course, you have an unlimited supply of turtles.
To make sounds, you have to have a microphone. And if you have that, you can make sounds easily. All you have to do is click on the little sound button on the toolbar, click somewhere on the screen, press the record button in the little dialog box that shows up, and howl away. Then press stop. Also, if you want, you can record music. I made a scene where a bunch of people and bees and birds are walking and flying, and then recorded some music that I like. So now when you press the little button on the screen that has a megaphone on it, it plays music or whatever you recorded (cool!).
Right now it's March Break, and I'm going to go away next week, so I won't be able to do any more new things on Logo, but I betcha I'm really going to look foward to learn more things on Logo! A person could spend hours doing things on Logo and not get bored!
